Hi, and welcome. I’m really glad you’re here.

Before illness entered my life, I was a very active mom of three, running a successful café business and living what I believed was a healthy lifestyle. I was a pescetarian, exercised regularly, and took pride in caring for my body. Health was something I felt confident about—so when I got the diagnosis, it came as a complete shock.

In 2017, I began experiencing back pain that steadily worsened and started radiating through my ribs. What I thought might be a muscle issue became unbearable. I found myself in the emergency department, overwhelmed by pain and fear. That visit changed my life forever.

I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer that had already spread to my lymph nodes and bones. I was told I had six to twelve months to live and was advised to get my affairs in order.

As a mother, hearing those words was devastating.

From that day forward, I made a decision: I would do everything within my control—anchored in my faith in God—to be present for my children for as long as possible. That determination became the foundation of my journey.

My treatment included long-term oral cancer therapies, which came with significant side effects. Alongside medical care, I began learning how to support my body through nutrition, supplements, fruit juicing, gentle exercise, and intentional rest. These choices were never about replacing treatment, but about helping my body cope with it.

The journey hasn’t been easy. There have been sleepless nights, anxiety, hair loss, emotional exhaustion, and moments of deep uncertainty. But there has also been growth, resilience, and a deeper understanding of what it means to nourish both body and spirit.

Fast forward to 2026, and I have learned how to live with this disease while managing side effects more gently and maintaining a meaningful quality of life. What once felt impossible has become my everyday reality—one shaped by faith, perseverance, and careful self-care.

Nourished Woman Journey was created to share what I’ve learned along the way. This blog is not about cures or promises. It is about lived experience, encouragement, and providing supportive information for women navigating illness, treatment, and the emotional weight that comes with it.

If you’re here because you’re walking a similar path—or supporting someone who is—please know this: you are not alone. There is strength in nourishment, in faith, and in taking each day as it comes.

Thank you for being here and allowing me to share my story.
